Paarl Coldset is proud to be the printers of high quality, award winning newspapers. At this year’s Mondi Shanduka Awards, which was held on 5 May, 2010 at Soccer City in Johannesburg, Die Burger, Volksblad and Naweek Beeld, came out as clear winners.
Paarl Coldset’s investment in the latest press and mail room technology has established them as leaders in press technology, fully automated mail rooms and workflow and colour optimization systems.
Paarl Coldset has also shifted the quality benchmark in South Africa to a level where coldset printing is an attractive commercial option. At this year’s awards, Die Burger won the Frewin Award for urban daily newspaper with a circulation above 50,000.
The McCall Award which honours urban daily newspapers with a circulation of 50,000 or less was won by Volksblad and the Joel Mervis Award which recognizes urban weekly newspapers irrespective of their circulation was won by the Naweek Beeld.
