Novus Holdings offers customers a portfolio of flexible, reliable label printing solutions. Inline-finishing options include cold and hot foiling, laminating, rotary screening, UV varnishing, die-cutting and embossing.

From wine-label printing to the production of adhesive items for the food industry, our ISO-certified facilities meet a range of specifications. We have the capability to introduce security holograms, ‘back printing’ and other unique special features.

For high-performance products, Paarl Labels provides specialised options that meet various requirements in terms of flexibility, durability and re-usability. Conventional self-adhesive products are available in semi-gloss, uncoated or cast-coated finishes.

Paper Options

  • Conventional self-adhesive papers in cast coated, semigloss and uncoated formats
  • Polypropylene and polyethylene in clear, white and metallic formats
  • Metallic papers, unsupported films and plastics
  • Speciality wine label papers including innovative super white uncoated “ICE” with unrivalled ice bucket properties, opacity and application qualities
  • “Treefree” paper, made from sugar cane fibre, a 100% renewable source, which offers everything expected from a premium quality wine label whilst being environmentally friendly

Finishing Options

  • Inline hot foiling, cold foiling, screen printing, laminating, embossing, UV varnish and die-cutting
  • Variable data facility
  • Adding security holograms to prevent fakes and imitations being sold in the market place
  • Speciality finishes and inks
  • Creating cost effective art images and structures on metal foils, allowing the designer to add subtle detail to labels with metal effects
  • Pinpoint “back printing” – the print image appears clearly on the adhesive side of the label and displays the brand image when viewed through the back of the bottle.

Post-press: Self-adhesive and unsupported films

  • 2 x Rotoflex rewinders, 330mm maximum reel width,
  • 1 x rewinder is fitted with a quality inspection unit, Nika-C1 camera system. The Rotoflex rewinder and camera inspection unit automatically verifies the quality of each label.
  • 1 x Prati Saturn Classic servo driven dual shaft rewinder, with automatic tension control

Post-press: Wet glue

  • 1 x Schneider S-Line fully automatic back loading label cutting line
  • 1 x Wohlenberg CUT-TEC 115
  • 1 x PEMCO 1450mm sheeter with 1050mm Embosser
  • 1 x Blumer Atlas A-110 SE Label production line, log trimming, ram punching and banding all inline capable of producing 1million labels per hour
  • 2 x Blumer Atlas A- 1110 SE Label production line, log trimming, ram punching and banding all inline capable of producing 1,2million labels per hour
  • 2 x Busch model A ram punches for short run wet glue label production
